The job in Lakeview
Lakeview is the old railroad end of Lakewood, and the houses show it in a good way: solid post-war homes on established streets, a lot of them with the original concrete drive and walk still in place. Seventy-year-old concrete cleans up beautifully. It just has seventy years of grime and a fresh coat of algae on it.
Roofs on these homes vary. Some have been replaced, plenty have not. Either way we do not point high pressure at a roof. Moss comes off with a low-pressure soft wash and a treatment, which is how the shingle makers say to do it.
If the yard has gotten ahead of the house, we also mow, edge, trim back the hedges and haul the pile away, on a one-time or a recurring schedule.
